Cortec BioCorr® HP

Product Description 

BioCorr® HP is a new generation of BioCorr®, Cortec’s time-tested water-based and biobased rust preventative designed to preserve metals in storage and during transportation. BioCorr® HP has excellent emulsion stability, contains no chemicals that interfere with automatic transmission fluids, provides multi-metal protection, and is an excellent environmentally sound alternative to petroleumderived products due to its biobased content. This readyto-use formulation can protect for up to two years of indoor storage or during shipments when combined with VpCI® packaging materials. Unlike rust preventative oils, this product leaves a dry, virtually undetectable film on the metal surface. This feature helps to create a clean workplace and prevents material waste. The product uses a unique UVmarker technology for easier identification on the metal surface. BioCorr® HP Rust Preventative is a USDA Certified Biobased Product.

Packaging & Storage 

BioCorr® HP is packaged in 5 gallon (19 L) pails, 55 gallon (208 L) drums, liquid totes, and bulk.

To ensure best product performance, store in original packaging, indoors, and out of direct sunlight at 40-100 °F (4-38 °C).

Application

BioCorr® HP is a ready-to-use product and can be applied by dipping or spraying. Agitate before each use. If desired, use a UV light to detect the product on the surface after application. BioCorr® HP SC is supplied as a concentrate and must be diluted and thoroughly mixed prior to use. SC version does not contain UV marker technology.

BioCorr® HP can be used as a temporary rust preventative for storage and shipment of metal parts such as

• Automotive components (specifically designed for use with transmissions)  
• Pipes, flanges, and gears  
• Sheets, coils, and castings

BioCorr® HP should be applied at ambient temperatures of 32-122 °F (0-50 °C).
