CorrCap VpCI® Protective Cover

Product Description

This “shower cap style” protective cover is made from worldwide patented VpCI-126 4 mil film, and designed to protect exposed bare metal parts from corrosion during domestic and export shipments. VpCI CorrCaps are used by placing on the ends of electrical connectors, engines, brakes, or many other exposed components. Typical application includes corrosion protection of disc braking systems during assembly operations and factory road testing. The CorrCaps remain in place until pre-inspection at the dealer, where they are taken off of the brake assemblies. The VpCIs volatilize migrate with air, and condense on metal surfaces forming a thin, uniform, and extremely effective corrosion inhibiting barrier.

The elastic cap allows for a tight fit on vulnerable surfaces and is easy to securely apply. The product can be reused for up to 1 year.

Packaging and Storage

CorrCap VpCI is available in custom sizes. Please contact Cortec for specific sizes and minimum order quantities. CorrCaps VpCI should be stored indoors at room temperature sealed in their original packaging. Shelf life is up to 24 months.
