Product Description

M-532 is an oil -based package of corrosion inhibitors for petroleum and synthetic lubricants. M-532 is a recommended additive to be used in a final product that goes into a system containing mostly yellow metals . M-532 is a version of M -531 that is non-aggressive to yellow metals.

Dosing Guidelines

M-532 starting dosage range for various applications is 0.5%-10.0% by weight (dependent on application, length of protection , and harshness of environmental conditions) .

Typical Properties

Application

• Additive for i ndustrial lubricant s where excellent rust protection, filterability, and water resistance are required. 
• In rust preventative applications, particularly useful for coiled steel or stacked parts due to its outstanding non-staining properties .  
• Additive for hydraulic fluids; ideally suited for formulating paper machine oils and circulating oils where good filterability, anticorrosion, thermal stability, and demulsification properties are required.

Packaging & Storage

M-532 is available in 5 gallon (19 L ) pails and 55 gallon (208 L) metal drums. Store in a cool, less than 115F (46C), dry place away from any direct source of heat and moisture. M-532 should be sealed before storage.

Solubility

Soluble in petroleum and synthetic lubricant base stocks and most common solvents. Insoluble in water. However, it is recommended to verify the solubility in the base oils used and the compatibility with other additives.
