Cortec S-11

Product Description

S-11 is a corrosion inhibitor additive for aqueous systems with low pH levels. S-11 is a proprietary blend of acetylenic alcohols, salts of quaternary amines, and nonionic surfactants. S-11 is a suitable replacement for propargyl alcohol. It is most effective in mineral acids.

Dosing Guidelines

Typical concentration levels are 0.1-1.0% by weight. S-11 can be post-added if desired. The concentration of inhibitor required depends on the type and concentration of the acid, as well as the operating conditions. At temperatures over 200°F (93°C), higher concentrations of S-11 may be needed. The most effective concentrations are best determined by laboratory tests and/or field trials

Packaging and Storage

S-11 is available in 5 gallon (19 L) pails, 55 gallon (208 L) drums, liquid totes, and bulk.

To ensure best product performance, store in original packaging, indoors, and out of direct sunlight at 40-100°F (4-38°C).

Shelf life: 2 years
