Cortec S-8 Corrosion Inhibitor for Food Can Protection

Product Description

S-8 is a unique product formulated only from FDA listed ingredients. It can be used at low concentrations and still provide excellent corrosion protection above and below the water level and at the air/water interface. This product is especially useful for the corrosion protection of
packed metallic food cans during washing or sterilization. 

S-8 contains a non-toxic “green” filming corrosion inhibitor that outperforms other “green” inhibitors due to its stability and ability to form a thin protective layer that will not cause sticky deposits. It also contains a Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor and is compatible with the majority of water chemistries. S-8 is registered with the NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program as an AX category compound acceptable for use in cleaning products used in and around food processing areas where direct food contact is not intended (Reg. #148017).

Packaging and Storage

S-8 is available in 5 gallon (19 L) plastic pails, 55 gallon (208 L) metal drums, liquid totes, and bulk.

To ensure best product performance, store in original packaging, indoors, and out of direct sunlight at 40-100 °F (4-38 °C).
