Cor-Pak® VpCI® Dunnage Bags are a perfect packaging material that combines Cortec’s patented Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI®) Technology with the cushioning function of common dunnage bags. It ensures your valuable shipments arrive at their destinations corrosion and nick-free.

Cor-Pak® VpCI® Dunnage bags are a flexible Tyvek®* pouch packed with VpCI®-emitting cushioning materials. Cortec’s patented VpCI® Technology releases multi-metal VpCI® protection through the breathable Tyvek® fabric. VpCI® Dunnage Bags are non-toxic and do not contain any nitrites, phosphates, or silicates. One VpCI® Dunnage Bag provides superior multi-metal corrosion protection for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, simplifying your packaging procedures and reducing your shipping costs.

There are no chemical concentrations to calculate and no chemical tanks or application systems to maintain. Simply place VpCI® Dunnage Bags in and around your sensitive assets so they are protected physically and shielded from the corrosion danger commonly seen during shipping processes. The corrosion inhibitors inside the Dunnage Bags vaporize, reaching all metal surfaces to provide complete corrosion protection. The unique inhibiting action of Cortec® VpCI® forms a very thin protective layer that does not alter the appearance of products or require removal before further finishing or use. Parts protected with VpCI® Dunnage Bags can be painted, welded, and soldered. The VpCI® protective layer does not affect physical properties (including conductivity and resistance) of most sensitive electrical components.

Cor-Pak® Dunnage offers an excellent environmental footprint having the active VpCI® content that is 95+ percent recycled.

Method of Application

Simply place VpCI® Dunnage Bags in and around your sensitive assets so they are physically protected. Then close the packaging container. The VpCIs inside the Dunnage Bags will emit and saturate the entire enclosed space.

Typical Construction

Breathable Tyvek® pouch packed with shredded VpCI®-emitting materials: impregnated neutral Kraft paper or impregnated polyurethane foam.

Packaging and Storage

Standard pouch size: 6” x 12” (15.24 cm x 30.48 cm), packaged 30 per carton.

Custom sizes and constructions available upon request.

Store in sealed packaging in dry and cool environment.

Shelf life 24 months.
