Product Description

Boiler Salamander™ is a readyto-use waterborne corrosion inhibitor liquid for wet layup of high-purity steam boilers. Boiler Salamander™ is effective at a very low dosage and provides contact and vaporphase corrosion protection. Boiler Salamander™ can be easily added into feedwater or condensate lines. Application does not require the boiler to be drained or opened.

Packaging & Storage

Boiler Salamander™ is available in 5-gallon (19 L) pails, 55-gallon (208 L) drums, liquid totes, and bulk.

To ensure best product performance, store in original packaging, indoors, and out of direct sunlight at 40-100 °F (4-38 °C).

Typical Properties

Application

Add Boiler Salamander™ to feedwater and/or condensate system and pump to the boiler. Shut the system down and maintain it at high water level for up to 12 months of layup. Recommended dosage is 600-800 ppm. Contact Cortec® Technical Service for details.
