Product Description
CorShield® 352 is a multimetal Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI®) coating designed for flexible packaging and corrugated board applications. Common applications for coated substrates include interleaving and individual parts wrapping. When metal articles are enclosed within, the VpCI® coating on the substrate vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces to provide complete corrosion protection. The unique inhibiting action of Cortec® VpCI® forms a very thin and effective protective layer that does not alter the appearance or performance of products or require removal before further finishing or use. Parts protected with VpCI® can be painted, welded, or soldered upon removal from the package.

Method of Application
CorShield® 352 should be applied directly to the paper or board with traditional paper coating applicators such as rod, blade, or spray. Drying can be accomplished by passing the coated substrate through a warm air oven or with IR bulbs. Dry coating weights of 3 – 5 lbs/3000 sq. ft. ream (4.9 – 8.2 gsm) are recommended. In applications where long term protection is required or a highly reactive metal will be packaged, heavier coat weights are suggested.
This product is also available in a super concentrated version, CorShield® 352 SC. This can be applied as is or diluted with water to the desired non-volatile content.
Packaging
CorShield® 352 and CorShield® 352 SC are available in 5 gallon (19 liter) plastic pails, 55 gallon (208 liter) metal drums, totes, and bulk.
