Product Description

EcoBio™ Barrier Paper is a premium recyclable, repulpable, biodegradable barrier paper designed with the “circular economy” in mind. Made from 100% recycled paper stock treated with a biobased, biodegradable barrier coating that resists moisture, grease, and oil; EcoBio™ Barrier Paper provides a competitive alternative to polyethylene and wax paper, with comparable water vapor barrier properties. It is also available as linerboard.

Historically, polyethylene and wax coatings have been used to seal porous paper to provide a moisture barrier. When coated this way, the resulting product is more difficult to recycle through normal channels and may end up as landfill waste. In contrast, the coating used on EcoBio™ Barrier Paper allows the paper to be recyclable in standard paper recycling streams while also being biodegradable.

Packaging and Storage

EcoBio™ Barrier Paper and Linerboard is available in a wide variety of custom roll/ sheet sizes and coating weights. Different paper weights and types available on request.
